How I work

Few clients, full attention.

I don't work with many clients at once, and that's a decision, not a limitation. When I take a project, it gets my full attention, from the first conversation to the last detail before launch. The person you spoke to on the intro call is the one who builds it and the one who answers when something breaks.

Across 50+ projects I've learned that the most expensive mistake is never in the code. It's in the decision nobody questioned in time. That's why I spend most of my time in conversation before anything starts being built, and why every project starts with a discovery whose output is a document that is yours even if we don't work together after it.

Alongside client projects I build my own: rent.webica.hr, where people generate a site or a shop themselves, and ai.webica.hr for process automation. Maintaining your own product changes how you build for other people, because software has to work every day, not only on handover day.

I'm at my best with the things other people find complicated: payment and ERP integrations, systems that have to fit an existing process, migrations off platforms a business has outgrown. And if something isn't worth building, I'll tell you before you pay for it.

Technology

What I use and why exactly that.

I choose the technology for the project, not the other way round. If an off-the-shelf platform solves your problem more cheaply, I'll tell you, even though a custom project suits me better.

Next.js, React and TypeScript

For the web and for apps. Loads fast, indexes well, and doesn't lock you into a tool nobody maintains in two years.

Node.js and PostgreSQL

For everything that happens behind the scenes: user accounts, integrations, data processing. Proven, boring and reliable precisely because of that.

React Native

One codebase for iOS and Android. For most business apps that's half the price and half the maintenance at the same experience. When a project genuinely needs native, I'll tell you.

WooCommerce, Stripe, fiscalisation

For shops. Payments, e-invoices and Croatian fiscalisation aren't an add-on, they're the condition for a shop to be allowed to operate at all.

Three things I've built

Not only for clients. Each of these three products solves a different need, which is why I can tell you honestly which one is for you.

What I don't do

  • Advertising and running campaigns
  • SEO as a monthly service separate from the build
  • Template sites at the lowest price
  • Projects where the client is spoken to twice

For each of those I know someone who does it well and I'll gladly point you their way.

You know when people say call the joker? That's Jurica. I've been working with him for more than a year and I have to admit it's one of the better decisions I've made since becoming an entrepreneur. Jurica built my website and web shop, which surpassed all my expectations visually and sped up my business. The service was exceptionally professional and warm. Whenever I was lost, Jurica had advice or a solution. Expert, always available, keeps to deadlines, on top of everything. As I said, call the joker. Every recommendation from me, and immense thanks for everything.

If you have an idea worth doing properly, the first step is a 30 minute conversation.

No proposal and no pressure. You tell me what you're building, I ask the questions nobody has asked you yet, and by the end you know whether it's feasible, roughly what it costs and what the next step is. Whether or not we end up working together.
